News: HipHop producer XV is furious

XV

Internet Production theft is on the rise as another up and coming producer gets an instrumental stolen from their online website. Producer XV, a rapper that’s been producing since he was 15, using the 9th Wonder favored software Fruity Loops, has been posting free beats on Soundclick.com and his website KingzmenProductions.com as a way to promote his skill and increase business to his growing production company. According to XV’s Video Blog, an unknown producer by name the of G Sparkz, downloaded one of XV’s instrumentals from Soundclick.com and shopped it to Remy Ma, who recorded a freestyle and a music video for the song without any prior knowledge that G Sparks didn’t produce the beat. As Remy Ma’s promotional Video circulates and the sales of her new mixtape “Shesus Khryst” with the mis-credited XV instrumental increases, it’s unclear whether XV is going to take legal measures to claim the album credit & royalties he deserves for the usage of his instrumental.
A similar story happened earlier this year when another unknown production hopeful J-Boogie downloaded an instrumental owned by Apex productions and shopped it to G-Unit Records where 50 Cent was willing use it as his hit single. But like many instrumental theft cases, the truth came out when G-Unit Records began asking for the original drum tracks of the song in order to properly record and master 50 cents vocals to music. Luckily a G-Unit records representative got word that the instrumental was originally made by Apex productions which propelled Apex productions into instant superstardom where they now grace the pages of Scratch magazine and are currently working artists such as Chamillionaire & Prodigy and are racking the royalty checks from 50 Cents #1 Video and single titled “I Get Money”.
However, It’s unclear if such good fortune will happen to producer/rapper XV, but as the truth begins make it’s way around websites such as myspace, and other social networking sites, karma should play its positive role & XV should eventually get the credit and recognition he deserves for being the true producer behind Remy Ma’s new video and promotional freestyle for “Shesus Khryst”.
